    Good to a Fault is the ANZ LitLovers reading group choice for August, and it’s a wonderful book for discussion. It was shortlisted for the Giller Prize in Canada, and won the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Canada and the Caribbean/5(38).   This book exists to address the abysmal issues of domestic violence using the powerful and transforming biblical message of grace and redemption. Is It My Fault? convincingly shows that the Lord is the only one who can heal the despairing victim. It deals with this devastating problem and sin honestly and directly without hiding its prevalence.

    I don't give a shit about all that, because you know what, I can't learn anything from you, I can't read in some fuckin' book. Unless you want to talk about you, who you are. Then I'm fascinated.

Good to a Fault is an ultimately joyful book that digs deep, with leavening humor, into questions of morality, class, and social responsibility. Marina Endicott looks at life and death through the compassionate, humane lens of a born novelist: being good, being at fault, and finding some balance in between.

Good To A Fault probably won't inspire spontaneous outbursts of "goodness". But, it will leave the reader thinking about the nature of goodness, which in itself is a very good reflection to undertake.

The Fault In Our Stars is a fabulous book about a young teenage girl who has been diagnosed with lung cancer and attends a cancer support is 16 and is reluctant to go to the support group, but she soon realises that it was a good idea.

Good to a Fault is peppered with quotations from poets Gerard Manley Hopkins and Dylan Thomas, in particular, figure prominently. How does their inclusion in the narrative enhance the book. How do you define the concept of home.

How has Good to a Fault altered that concept. The thing about ' The fault in our stars' is that it manages to tackle something as sensitive as cancer without being too cheesy. It doesn't aspire to inspire or motivate, it just tells a story.

It narrates a story. A good one. Despite it not be. Nevertheless, Good to a Fault is utterly engaging. With a theatrical sensibility, Endicott, an established playwright and dramaturge, beautifully illuminates the interior lives and stunted interactions of her cast of struggling strangers – all of whom, it turns out, are perfect fits for the mysterious holes in one another’s lives.
